Commercial Cleaning Technician
Part Time, Hourly | Competitive Pay | Evenings, Early Mornings, and Weekends
Position Overview
SteriPro Cleaning Solutions is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our commercial cleaning team. In this role, you’ll help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments for businesses throughout our service area.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and understands the importance of showing up on time and delivering consistent results. You’ll also have the opportunity to help train and support new team members as our company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine commercial cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, and removing trash.
- Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, and other commercial spaces.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines to maintain consistent service quality.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning products according to instructions.
- Move furniture, equipment, and other items as needed to complete cleaning tasks safely.
- Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and organized work areas.
- Arrive on time, follow assigned schedules, and complete tasks efficiently and thoroughly.
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or facility issues to management.
- Assist with training new cleaning technicians on proper techniques, procedures, and company expectations.
- Represent SteriPro professionally while working at client facilities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong work ethic with a dependable and punctual approach to assigned responsibilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a professional, respectful attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions, manage time effectively, and complete assigned tasks.
- Willingness to learn new cleaning techniques and assist with training others.
- Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred, but not required.
- Availability to work evenings, early mornings, and weekends as scheduled.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position that requires regular physical movement throughout each shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to safely use step stools and ladders when required.
- Ability to move or reposition furniture and cleaning equipment safely, with assistance when appropriate.
- Ability to perform cleaning duties in a variety of commercial environments, with or without reasonable accommodation.
